What is the Tundra Biome?
The Tundra biome is a cold, treeless biome characterised by very low temperatures, limited precipitation, short growing seasons and permanently or seasonally frozen ground.
The word tundra is associated with treeless landscapes where harsh climatic conditions restrict the growth of tall vegetation.
