Introduction

India’s demographic dividend can become a major driver of economic growth only when youth are productively employed. To accelerate formal employment and strengthen social security coverage, the Government of India launched the Prime Minister Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY). The scheme provides financial incentives to both first-time employees and employers, encouraging job creation in the formal sector while expanding coverage under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).
